Adjoa is a UK soul singer-songwriter, fusing her 'frankly fabulous' soul vocals with chants in the dialect of Twi and in English, and vibrant traditional percussion of her Ghanaian heritage.

The 'Adinkra' EP is Adjoa's recording based on the theme of the Adinkra symbols of the Akan people of Ghana, reflecting Adjoa’s love of soul music and her heritage. Each symbol is a stylized geometric image expressing proverbs or a message of the Akan people.
